Coming To An End

So, I've decided that I might be ending this blog soon. I have realized that it has become more of an obligation than something I really enjoy doing anymore. I primarily started it to keep in contact with people and express my thoughts when I first moved out here. But with email, myspace, facebook, texting, and so on I feel I can keep in touch with a lot of people without this blog. I'll let you all know when I end this, but I really believe there are only a few people who read it anymore. Anyhoo, not that it is a big deal but I wanted to give you all a heads up. :)

Ringside..A Bust!!!

So, last night we were suppose to go see the band, Ringside. They were playing at the Malibu Inn. We started the evening out with Apps and Mai-Tais at a restaurant called Duke's Malibu. It is right on the water and it feels like you are on a boat. We then headed over to the Malibu Inn, which is kind of an interesting venue for Ringside. They were suppose to go on at 9pm and around this time there was basically no one there, so we overheard a conversation and were told that they weren't coming on until 11pm even though it was suppose to be 9pm. There was no opening band and so there was nothing going on. We ended up leaving because we weren't going to wait around and they weren't even sure if Ringside would actually come on at 11pm. We were all disappointed and pissed and our friend is going to try and get our money back for the tickets. They weren't that expensive, but still it is money. We ended up going to a pretty cool bar in Westlake and having a grand old time. It was kind of a bummer night but we had fun in the end anyway.

Steve Martin

Today, I physically ran into Steve Martin at work. I was walking and bam..there he was. He looked down at me and was like, "Whoa." It took me a second to get myself together because I was so completely star struck. I ended up waiting on his girlfriend/wife while he stood behind her. I tried so very hard to pretend I had no idea who he was..YEAH RIGHT!

Hope Floats

I realize that this is a controversial issue and many would disagree with me, but this is my blog and I'm going to post things that I want and that I truly believe in. The issues of gay rights and marriage is very important to me and one I stand behind. Check out the below article. It little hope has taken over the State of California.

Rents

My dad and stepmom were here this past weekend and it was so very good to see them. we had a fun time and it is always nice to have family close to me. They always come out here and we end up doing something that I wouldn't normally do or that I haven't done before. For instance, this time we went to the Armand Hammer museum and after seeing a number of exhibits went to the courtyard and watch a concert of Bulgarian music. I truely enjoyed it. I'm a little tired from the past couple weeks and I look forward to going to be early tonight..haha.

I'm officially 28 years-old. I really do not feel any different. Not that I expected to or anything. My birthday weekend and actual birthday were fabulous. My girl came out and spent three days with me. I had to people over Friday night and then we went to the bars and it was fun fun times. My bday yesterday was pleasant as I left work early and had dinner with a dear friend. My father and stepmom come out on Thursday and it will be a good time. Like I always say, May is a good month for me. :)
