The other day my store manager and I interviewed a girl for a cashier position at my work. I told her she had to take a drug test/background check and we would call her when we were told it was clear to hire her. Well, she called the other day just to let me know she had taken a job somewhere else. She said, "Blair, I am going to take a job at a Lawyer's office because I want to be a Lawyer someday, but I thank you for the opportunity to work for Sportmart." I just lauged and thanked her for letting me know. It impressed me though because most 18 year olds would never think to do something like that. And I am sure she was nervous about doing it and her parents put her up to it. But, remember when we were 18?
