Inventory

I am tired. I am whining. We have been doing inventory prep. Inventory is tomorrow very early in the morning!! I am going to go to bed and it is only 7:00pm. I need to get ready for Vegas next week. I shall write more later. That's all I got. PEACE!!

Handicap

As my good friend Reggie always says, "You always look a little taller when you get on your soap box!"..haha!! Anyway, allow me to indulge you all in one of my biggest irritants, which has to do with handicap parking. Now, I am nuts when it comes to handicap parking. I walk throughout the many parking lots that exist and I watch those that pull into the handicap spots. I watch to see if they have the sticker, a certain type of car, and how they are walking. I know, I know..I am nuts!! Because the bottom line is that I am not going to do anything if they don't meet my criteria of those who are allowed to park in the handicap spot. But what I don't want to see is a porsche with a 30 year-old behind the wheel pulling into one of those spaces. They have the sticker, but I mean come on. I want to see an old lady with a walker..haha..jk!! Well, Kind of!! TEEHEE

2 Years

So today is like my two year anniversary of moving to California. Pretty crazy how the time flies! I honestly can't believe it has been two years. A lot has happened over the course of two years. I'd like to sit here and reflect on the past two years but I see no sense in doing that. Because right now I feel good. I feel really good and I think that is all that matters at this point. I have my issues every now and then but nothing too major, which I am very thankful for. Yes, there are few things I wish were different and they will continue to haunt me, but for the most part I feel good. I feel pretty darn good!!

Silly Love Songs

Today I was thinking morbid thoughts about how I'd like one of those sad love songs full of heartache and despair to pertain to my life somehow..haha. You know how most people hear a song and are like, "OH MY GOD!! This reminds me of my ex...." or what have you. I don't have that..haha!! And there are so many good songs out there like that and I LOVE MUSIC!!! In all honesty, I actually happy I don't have any songs that remind me of times of heartache..haha. Just another crazy thought by Blair!!

Not Again

So, it has happened again folks. Another one of my store manager's is being transferred. It seems to happen every year. It happened last year and it is happening again this year. I am totally bumming as I have an enormous amount of respect for my store manager right now. He has done a lot for both me and the rest of the staff. He got me a huge raise and so many other things!! Anyway, I could sit here and be bummed and feel down about it, but the truth is that it's just the nature of the business. It just always has to happen right before inventory and the holidays when we are at our most stressed levels. The new guy supposedly coming in has the personality of a rock. I can handle this more than I can handle an asshole, so let's hope he is not an asshole.

Fall

I never thought I would say this but it is actually starting to feel like Fall in good old LaLa Land. I am starting to get cold, which doesn't say much since I get cold if it drops below 80 now..haha. California has made me weak!! I can no longer handle the weather of Colorado. It's official that I am a Californian!! :)

FUTURESEX/LOVESOUNDS

His album hit stores today folks!! I know no one who probably reads this blog will care really, but I mean come on!!! Justin Timberlake is talented and you have to give the guy some credit. This album is perfect in every form. He goes from having phat beats, to pop, to hip hop, to sounding just like the bee gees. It just doesn't get any better!! Not to mention, I can move my ass to it so I am flipping in heaven!!

Fight Fight For Victory.....

CU lost to CSU yesterday! Always one of the most sucky losses of the season. I went down to Manhattan Beach to watch the football game on TV. There's this bar down there where all the CU Alumni gather to watch the games. The place is fantastic and I ran into acouple people I even went to school with. It was nice to catch up with them and also nice to have someone to share my enthusiasm for the buffs with. I felt like I was back in college with drinking of beer and the cheering and the laughing. It was just a good time and I look forward to the rest of the season.

On a winning note, I'd like to send a shout to my bro and congratulate he and the Mountain Hawks on their first win of the season. Lehigh University rallied back to beat Villanova yesterday!! GO MOUNTAIN HAWKS!

I am cooler than you

Blair: I don't know Mom. What?

Mom: I got the new Christina Aguilera CD and also I got the new Beyonce CD as well.

Blair: You bought the new Beyonce album?

Mom: Well yeah! It was only $9.98 at Target. That's a great deal!! I got it before you. I got it before you.

Blair: Great Mom! You win!!

Stupid Car

Isn't it funny how when one thing breaks on your car everything breaks on your car? Not that anything is necessarily "broken"...yet. But like I need to get four new tires because all of mine are getting close to being bald. Also, when I was driving to work last week a rock is my windshield and caused a crack, which is getting bigger everyday. And finally, I need to go get my 3 month oil change, but it's never just that. They always find something else that needs to be fixed or tuned up. And yes, I don't have the get what they recommend, but I use my car so much and need it that I feel I need to do everything in my power to keep it alive as long as possible. So, I am sitting here trying to figure out where I am going to get the money for all this and when I am going to get it done. The crack I will worry about later. The tires are a must, which I know will cost me a lot probably. And the "oil change" I will find a way to deal with. Does anything ever get any cheaper? NOPE!!

C Is For Crunk

So, today I was walking down the 3rd Street Promenade looking for birthday gifts and listening to the sounds of random street performers when I came across a homeless man as there are many. I have my "C is for CRUNK" shirt on today and the homeless man yelled, "Spare a dollar for all the CRUNKS in the world!" I laughed and I gave him a dollar!! I had to as he made me smile!!
