Is That Champagne?
I had dinner with a friend who was visiting her grandparents/father yesterday. Her father lives in Canoga Park which just happens to be where I work. She met me at work and then we headed over to good old BJ's for beer, pizza, and conversation. It was nice to be in her presence. It was a short outting, but it was comforting to be around someone familiar as it always is. We were able to cetch up while also focusing on some of the fun times we have had together. I took her back to her grandparents house and prepared myself for the traffic I would be facing on a Friday night.
To my surprise, it actually wasn't that bad. I fixed myself a cocktail and Erin and I decided to watch "Kissing Jessica Stein," which is one of my all time favorite movies. After that, Erin and I played a game of air hockey while listening to endless amounts of music. It's always such a fun time and we always discover songs we haven't heard in a while. She is a music freak and I am a music freak so we mesh very well. I opened up the fridge and pulled out a bottle of champagne I had gotten for xmas. Erin responded with, "Is that champagne? Break that open." I kind of looked at her not knowing if she was serious but then realized she was.
The night continued with champagne, good music, lots of laughter, memories of friends, and so on. Nick called me a million times, which I absolutely love. One time he left a message and was singing Madonna's "Like a Prayer". At one point I was talking to him and he said, "Oh my god! You wouldn't believe what they are playing right now. Michael Jackson." See, Nick knows how to dance like Michael and I told him he better get on that dance floor. He sound excited and we said our goodbyes again. He then proceeded to leave me like two more messages and called another four times.....I MISS HIM!!!
