Frustrated...Already

Do you ever find yourself getting frustrated before you have even started? I find myself getting that way right now when it comes to getting a new job. I keep weighing the pros and cons and realize that ultimately there will be more pros, but the initial getting there absolutely sucks. See, I've gotten comfortable with everything having to do with my job. I have a great schedule, great benefits, a boss I adore, I get days off whenever I need them with the exception of holidays, and so on. I want to visit my mom this summer because I haven't seen her in what will be two years in the summer and yet if I get a new job I may not be able to get the time off. And not only that, but I won't have vacation time saved up yet. I have nothing on my resume but that of management in retail. I'm already frustrated and I haven't even necessarily begun the whole looking process. I'm not even sure where to start. My brother said that might be the hardest part. URG!

Take some much needed vacation time and go see your Mom as soon as you can. Get things that require health insurance taken care of and then START LOOKING. You’ve got to! You have been saying you were going to look for a new job ever since I’ve known you. It will be effin hard at first and it will take time to save up vacation but will be so much better overall.
Do you really want to spend the next 38 years of your life getting yelled at by mean customers on Christmas Eve? I just think you’re going to need and want more. There are so many jobs available – you owe it to yourself to see what is out there.
